Eric Hosmer, who was named the MVP of the MLB All-Star game, has decided to give his truck to his father instead of keeping it for himself. The two discussed which vehicle would be best for Hosmer’s father, and Hosmer’s All-Star MVP Chevy Silverado Midnight Edition won over the 50th Anniversary Edition SS Camaro.
Hosmer was given the MVP award after outstanding performance in the All-Star game, where he was responsible for several runs, including a home run, two runs batted in, and a run scored. Hosmer is the first Kansas City Royals player to earn the MVP Award since 1989, when Bo Jackson took the title.
Hosmer accepted his Silverado Midnight on Tuesday night at the awards ceremony at Petco Park in San Diego. He also signed the hood of a 50th Anniversary Camaro to be auctioned off soon on MLB.com. Proceeds will go to the MLB-MLBPA Youth Development Foundation.
