After being out of the market for a while, Chevy announced last year that it would again start developing low cab forward trucks in order to diversify their commercial lineup and create more options for commercial customers.
Last week, shipment of the new Chevy low cab forward trucks to dealerships across the country began, and sales will start when dealerships receive them. The Chevy low cab forward is available with a V8 gasoline or two turbo diesel engine options, the gasoline priced at $40,900 and the diesel priced starting at $48,375, including a $1,125 destination charge.
The Chevy low cab forward truck offers a tight turn radius, a maneuverable Cab Over design for increased visibility, and the ability to be serviced at any of the nationwide network of commercial Chevy dealerships. Chevy says the low cab forward trucks are their answer to the necessity of high payload and exceptional handling, which is necessary when transporting goods in crowded urban environments.
The low cab forward is also said to be versatile and can be adapted to the needs of the driver, as well as having a comfortable cabin. Its max towing capacity is 19,500 pounds, and a six-speed automatic transmission is standard in all models, which include the 3500, 4500, and 5500, plus their respective HD models.
