Chevrolet is known for offering consumers green vehicle options that also have superior power. That’s why it comes as no surprise that the 2016 Chevrolet Volt was recently honored with the 2016 Green Car of the Year award.
The significance of the Chevrolet Volt taking home Green Car of the Year isn’t about this single award. The Volt has now won the award in two succeeding generations, the first generation having debuted in 2011.
“This is the first time in Green Car of the Year history that a vehicle has won the award in two succeeding model generations,” said Ron Cogan, editor and publisher of Green Car Journal. He goes on to state that, “The Chevrolet Volt was a standout when it won 2011 Green Car of the Year and continues in that role today as the 2016 Green Car of the Year.” It is clear that the Volt is destined to do great in the green vehicle segment!
The Los Angeles Auto Show hosted finalists like the Toyota Prius, Honda Civic, Hyundai Sonata, and Audi A3 E-Tron. None could compete with the Volt’s 53-mile battery range, sport style, and plethora of technology. Be sure to stop by Don Brown Chevrolet today to find out more about the 2016 Chevrolet Volt!
