Chevrolet is ready to take on the competitive full-size truck segment with new updates for the 2016 Chevy Silverado. General Motors’ bestselling pickup truck is getting a mid-cycle facelift to keep its edge on style. There are quite a few 2016 Silverado updates and each makes the pickup more attractive than before. Here are just a few of them that we know about so far.
New for 2016, the Silverado will see a new front end, bolder lines and a new sculpted hood. The eight-speed automatic transmission will be available on more trims. The Chevy MyLink touchscreen with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will also see an update along with other safety technologies.
“It will feature a more muscular appearance and offer new customer-focused technologies,” said Sandor Piszar, marketing director for Chevy Trucks.
Silverado sales soared 14.6% compared to the same time last year, moving 275,822 units in the first six months of the year. The pickup truck’s sales have increased by more than 10% each year since the new model debuted in spring 2013. With this consistent sales increase, there is no doubt that this truck will continue being a top choice for truck lovers. One thing’s for sure, we can’t wait to see this truck in person at Don Brown Chevrolet!
