Generally, we think red when it comes to Valentine’s Day. However, Chevrolet is giving us a mighty good reason to think black. And no, it is not from a macabre sense of celebrating Single’s Awareness Day. Rather, Chevy’s 2015 Silverado Midnight Edition will publicly debut on February 14 at the Chicago Auto Show.
If you’ve been stumped on what to get your loved one for the sweet holiday, tickets to the Chicago Auto Show to check out the special edition Silverado might do the trick.
Chevrolet’s version of the 2015 blacked-out pickup starts with black exterior paint as the base and adds an all-black front end, black side and beltline moldings, black painted wheels, black spray-in bedliner, and black Chevy bowties to tie it all together.
The Midnight Edition is based on the Silverado 1500 Z71 model and will be available with the choice between the double-cab and crew-cab. Rear park assist; Hill Descent Control; heated, power-adjusted outside rear-view mirrors, and a trailer package are just a few of the features the special edition truck includes.
“The Midnight special edition… lets our dealers offer a custom look right from the factory,” said Sandor Piszar, marketing director for the Silverado. Furthermore, he states that, “customers can get a monochrome exterior, black alloy wheels and other up-level touches, while maintaining all of the dependability Chevy trucks are famous for along with full factory warranty coverage.”
