ST. LOUIS, Miss – Simple, easy and sweet-tooth approved. Those are really the only ways to describe our list of Delicious Treats for Easter! With all of these recipes containing basic ingredients, you can spend less time in the kitchen and more time enjoying these treats in the Spring weather! Each of these require minimal clean up and are a great way to have some fun with the kids! A couple of these treats contain similar ingredients, which is a great excuse to make more than on!
Yum! These salty and sweet treats adorable and festive. As you wait for the chocolate to melt on the stove, break the pretzels in half. Remove the chocolate from the heat and stir in all of the pretzels. Once they are completely coated, form the pretzels into “nests”and place on parchment paper. Once the treats have hardened, use the extra melted chocolate as a “glue” to stick the M&M’s Speckled Eggs or a candy of your choice on top!
Snack on this before dinner or divide it into bags to give away to family and friends. Warning: you won’t be able to stop at just one handful! Spread the pretzels, popcorn and Chex cereal on a baking sheet covered in parchment paper. Pour the melted white chocolate over the mix and stir to coat evenly. Top with sprinkles and let the mix harden on the cookie sheet. Break the bait apart into a large bowl or individual bags, add the M&M’s and munch away!
Rice Krispie Treats are a classic and the perfect go-to dessert! Once you have made your Rice Krispie Treats, cut them into squares ( or use an egg shaped cookie cutter if you’re feeling extra festive). Melt the bag of chocolate, then stir in the oil until it is smooth. Dip each treat into the chocolate and top with sprinkles or candies! Let the treats harden on parchment paper.
We couldn’t forget to include a classic Easter candy – Peeps! Dip those marshmallow bunnies or chicks into some chocolate and garnish with sprinkles or colored sugar. This is a great way to use up extra melting chocolate and sprinkles!
